Tohatsu MFS9.9CY EFS outboard motor 9.9 hp — short shaft, electric start

Tohatsu MFS9.9CY EFS — 9.9 hp four-stroke outboard motor in short shaft version with an electric starter and tiller steering.

The same EFI engine as the manual start version, but you start it with a key instead of a pull start. While you are under way the charging coil keeps a 12V battery topped up, which is handy if you have a fishfinder, lighting or navigation on board.

• Power: 9.9 hp (7.3 kW) · 2 cylinders · four-stroke · battery-less EFI
• Shaft length: short shaft — the version that matches the transom height of the Selakos inflatable boats
• Gearshift: forward, neutral and reverse
• Starting: electric starter, operated from the tiller
• 12 volt charging coil/lighting coil fitted as standard
• Fuel: separate 12-litre tank included as standard; 24-litre tank optional
• Propeller: included as standard
• Low oil pressure indicator, kill cord, start protection and rev limiter

Please note: a starter battery is not included. An electric start motor requires a 12V battery on board.

Which boat does this motor fit

Suitable for the Selakos 330 (maximum 15 hp). Not suitable for the 180, 230 and 280 — those may carry a maximum of 3.5 and 6.5 hp respectively. Put together a complete set in the combi-deal configurator.
