Tohatsu MFS6D SS outboard motor 6 hp — short shaft

Tohatsu MFS6D SS — 6 hp four-stroke outboard motor in short shaft version, supplied with a separate 12-litre fuel tank. The maximum power allowed on a Selakos 280.

The same powerhead as the 5 hp but with more pulling power, which you notice with a heavier load or in a current. Clearly less induction noise than earlier generations, and an anode on the gearcase against corrosion.

Which boat does this motor fit

Suitable for the Selakos 280 (for that model this is the 6.5 hp maximum) and the Selakos 330 (maximum 15 hp). Not suitable for the 180 and 230 — those may carry a maximum of 3.5 hp. Put together a complete set in the combi-deal configurator.
